Gender Inequalities in Late Work – Origin, Policies, Measurement 

Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden 

The SIPET research network invites early career researchers (PhD students and postdocs) to participate in the second event of its international training school. Participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures on various aspects of ‘Gender Inequalities in Late Work – Origin, Policies, Measurement’, to join in workshops that will allow to present research designs and approaches related to the topic and to discuss with the faculty and participants of the training school.   

Accommodation for accepted applicants will be covered by SIPET.    

In connection with the training event, SIPET hosts a research workshop in Stockholm, which the training school participants are welcome to attend in the afternoon of May 15, 2024.   

The deadline for applications is April 1, 2024. 

Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by 5 April.

The training school starts at 9.00 on the 16th of May and ends at 12.00 on the 17th of May. It will focus on gender-related challenges and questions regarding later working life and its successive extension in ageing societies. Differences in working conditions, commitments outside of work, health problems, and other issues will be discussed.

14:00-15:00: Individual 5–10-minute visual presentations on own research, as related to the Training School topic
