Sustainability, inclusiveness, productivity and equity and the transformation of Swedish working life courses

SIPET is an interdisciplinary research network to push the boundaries of knowledge about the sustainability of late work in Sweden’s ageing population. It addresses health and skills for late work participation in an inequality-sensitive perspective on the transformation of work and productivity, shifts in policies and the ongoing life-course changes in ageing Sweden with an ambition for impact.

SIPET builds on two complementary research programmes, ‘EIWO – Exclusion and Inequality in Late Working Life’ and ‘A Sustainable Work Life for All – Challenges and Future Opportunities’ that are funded by FORTE, the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life, and Welfare, within the framework of programmes ‘Challenges of Working Life’. The two programmes are hosted at the Division of Ageing and Social Change (ASC), Linköping University, and at the Unit of Occupational Medicine within the Institute of Environmental Medicine (IMM), Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. SIPET is funded by the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life, and Welfare, under grant number 2022-00955.
